Music

Private Lessons
Summer Camps
Concerts, Recitals, Showcases

Whether it's strings, keys, winds, or percussion, learning an instrument is a journey that sharpens the mind and feeds the soul. Our instructors guide students through technique, music theory, and repertoire in a way that's rigorous, rewarding, and genuinely fun.

Your voice is your most personal instrument. Our vocal instruction helps students discover their natural sound, develop proper technique, and build the confidence to perform. From breath control and pitch to phrasing and expression, singers of all experience levels are welcome.

Visual Arts

Photography

A great photograph freezes a moment and reveals something true about it. Students learn to see the world with a photographer's eye, mastering both the technical elements of the camera and the artistic instincts that make an image unforgettable. We only offer photography instruction in the form of our summer camp, Through the Lens.

Filmmaking

Film is the defining art form of our era. Students learn the craft of visual storytelling from script to screen — exploring cinematography, directing, editing, and sound to bring their ideas to life in one of the world's most powerful mediums. We only offer filmmaking instruction in the form of our summer camp, Through the Lens.

Traditional

Drawing, painting, sculpture — traditional art connects students to centuries of human creativity while challenging them to develop their own perspective. Students build foundational skills in composition, color, and form that underpin all visual expression. Lessons will continue in the Fall of 2027.

Theatre

Productions available year-round.

From Shakespeare to contemporary drama, traditional theatre is the art of becoming someone else entirely. Students develop their craft through script analysis, character work, vocal projection, and stage presence — building skills that serve them on stage and off.

Combining acting, singing, and dance into one electrifying art form, musical theatre is where all the disciplines come together. Students learn to tell a story through every tool at their disposal — and often discover strengths they never knew they had.

Dance

Social

Dance has always brought people together. Social dance instruction covers styles meant to be shared — from ballroom and Latin to swing and beyond — building connection, coordination, and a whole lot of fun along the way.

Commercial

From hip-hop to jazz to the styles you see on stage and screen, commercial dance is dynamic, energetic, and always evolving. Students learn to move with precision and personality, developing the versatility that today's performance world demands.

Classical

Rooted in centuries of tradition, classical dance forms like ballet build strength, grace, and body awareness from the ground up. Students learn the foundational vocabulary of movement that underlies virtually every other dance style, giving them tools they'll carry for life.

Scholarships

At CSA, we believe that no student should be kept from the arts due to financial barriers. That's why we offer a variety of named scholarships — funded by generous donors, alumni families, and community supporters — covering students of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities, including those with special needs, homeschool students, and underserved youth.

Summer Camps

Every summer, CSA comes alive with camps spanning creative disciplines — music, dance, and theatre. Our summer programs are designed to be immersive, energizing, and accessible, giving students of all backgrounds a chance to dive deep into the arts during the break. Thanks to generous grant funding, some of our camps are offered completely free of charge, while others range up to a few hundred dollars — so there's something available for every family.

Private Lessons

Our roster of passionate, highly qualified faculty — many of whom are active performers with the Fort Smith Symphony, Arkansas Arts Council Touring Roster, THEA, and beyond — offer one-on-one weekly lessons in music and dance for all ages.
