OVERVIEW

​

Community School of the Arts (CSA) is a non-profit arts education organization serving children and youth in the visual and performing arts. CSA provides high-quality instruction in music, theatre, dance, and visual art to children and youth of all ages and levels.  Our mission is to develop confident leaders and outstanding citizens through educational and artistic excellence.  As we continue to build our reputation of excellence in the arts, and continue to develop programs, we are seeking instructors who can serve in important teaching roles.  Instructors in the areas of music, theatre, dance, and visual art are encouraged to apply.  Creativity, innovation, and passion are at the core of CSA teaching.

Candidates must have a background and education in their specific arts discipline. Experienced and less experienced teachers may apply. CSA provides families with a choice of master or junior level instructors when possible. Communication, leadership, and networking skills are a plus.  The ability to recruit and retain students is a plus.  Part-time instructors may set their own hours and teaching schedule.

REQUIREMENTS

​

  • A minimum bachelor’s degree in an arts field

  • A minimum of 3 years of teaching

  • Team builder, highly organized and possessing excellent customer service/communication skills

  • Dynamic and energetic leadership qualities

  • Ability to collaborate and involve the community

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

​

  • Teach private one-on-one lessons to students ranging from children-adult

  • Prepare advanced students for a college program when possible

  • Develop ensembles and group classes as available and interested

 

 

COMPENSATION

​

Competitive, based on experience and qualifications. Part-time instructors are paid hourly based upon the number of teaching hours.
