CSA Preschool for the Creative Arts

This wonderful new arts-based preschool offers a creative, developmentally appropriate approach to early childhood education.  Children are immersed into all types of arts activities as they learn and discover new ideas and the world around them.

The program nurtures creative thinking, problem solving, imagination, communication, motor skills, and social/emotional skills that last a lifetime.  In fact, studies have shown that children who participate in the arts at an early age develop at a faster rate than those who do not.

Children who participate in this type of program truly enjoy learning and have an extra reason to love coming to school! The CSA Preschool for the Creative Arts is a licensed preschool that uses the arts to teach all elements of the preschool curriculum.

HOW DOES THE PRESCHOOL FOR THE
CREATIVE ARTS OPERATE?

The preschool offers a 9-month curriculum that runs from August-May and is taught in the mornings Monday-Friday until 12:30pm. Parents may bring their child before work and pick up at 12:30, or the child may stay for afternoon extended arts care with the option of pick up at 2:30 or 5:30.

The Arkansas State Preschool Standards require children in preschool to be taught certain concepts and elements.  During the morning curriculum, the Preschool for the Creative Arts teaches these requirements through arts study and activities.  Words, numbers, and concepts are learned by engaging in dance and movement, painting and drawing, acting, singing, playing instruments and more.  Children are immersed into creative and artistic activities as they master the curriculum that is appropriate for their age.

WHAT IS EXTENDED ARTS CARE?

Extended arts care is filled with more arts activities including ballet, choir, ukulele, art, instruments, theatre, and foreign language, just to name a few programs. Extended arts care is offered in the afternoons from August-May and offered all day in the summer. Parents may register for Extended Arts Care only from 2:30-5:30pm.
