This is an introduction to Suzuki Strings for ages 4 through 2nd grade & a second group for 3rd-6th graders.

An adult must stay with the student in the 4 year old-2nd age group for the full hour.

 Concert on Friday, June 10 at 5pm in St. Boniface Auditorium

In this camp, students will learn fiddle techniques and songs. Students will play various fiddle styles reading sheet music.

 

****$75 for students also enrolled in Private Lessons

This Music Therapy Kids Camp is Song Writing for creative and emotional expression. Camp requirements are basic reading and writing skills and experience with vocal or instrumental music. Students should have a love of expression, music, and exploring/sharing their experiences with others. This camp offers practical ways for both songwriting and processing emotions in a healthy way. It is a place to learn, grow, create, write and develop coping skills that they can use in their music and life. Camp will be taught by Rachel (Burgos) Griner, a Board-Certified Music Therapist with a passion and joy for working with kids.

Please bring a notebook and pencil/pen.

Turn your student’s love of video games into an educational experience! This summer’s piano camp will be focusing on all things video game music! Students will spend the week refining their piano skills in performing, theory, and musicianship, all while engaging with their favorite characters. The camp leads up to a showcase at the end of the week for students to perform and show off their hard work! 

**The camp is open to all current piano students at CSA. Students outside of CSA may attend but must have piano experience and submit a video of their playing**

Study the fundamentals and proper technique for playing the drum set, “The science of drumming from the physical perspective.” Learn various time signatures and drum music notation, the role of drums and the drummer in music. Students will also learn how to play various hand percussion instruments and their relationship to drumming and music. Students will have opportunity to learn how to play with other musicians. Concert will be at 5pm on Thursday at St. Boniface. 

Please bring a snack and drink.

A music theory course open to all high school students interested in developing their musicianship skills. Students will learn the function of music theory in pitch, scales, rhythm, and chords. Students do not need previous music theory experience, but a basic understanding of reading music is encouraged.

Start your piano journey with our introductory piano camp and see what discoveries can be made! Students will explore the piano through improvisation and songs. They will engage in games and activities that will teach them about rhythm, pitch, and the keyboard. This camp is a great way to gauge whether students are ready or interested in piano lessons. A piano at home is not required but encouraged.

Seasons in Song: Music Therapy Kids Camp takes kids on a journey that encourages them to celebrate each stage of life and persevere through its changes. No musical experience required! Sessions will be directed by Rachel (Burgos) Griner, a Board-Certified Music Therapist with a passion and joy for working with kids. Concepts such as coping skills, expression, relaxation techniques, and communication are all joined by fun, music, and support. Both one-on-one and group sessions will take place. This group will specifically focus on increasing health and quality of life for those who may be experiencing challenges related to, but not limited to, stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, and social interaction. Individuals who are differently abled are welcome and celebrated!

**Solo Sessions will be decided upon registration**
