Ballet is known as “the foundation of all dance.” It gives dancers a solid understanding of technique which leads to success in other styles of dance. Intro to Ballet and Ballet Technique will build students from the ground up. In the course, students will learn proper technique, terminology, and etiquette. This course is technique based; however, students will learn at least 1 lyrical dance and 1 jazz dance that encompasses the technique they learn in class. Having a strong technique will help students stand out in auditions and help them as they nurture a future in performance.
Tap is an essential part of Musical Theatre! This year, we are producing two musicals that heavily feature tap dance. This class will help you get ready for both productions while expanding your dance skills! No prior experience required!
